Dear colleagues,

The year 2020 has proven challenging. In this particular moment, our Society set as major goals: to adapt, strengthen, and continue, as always, united, providing knowledge and interaction to its members and participants. Therefore, I am pleased to invite you to our XXXIV Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Embryo Technology (SBTE 2020 online), now at your home!

The SBTE board of directors has been focused on delivering an innovative online event with excellent quality, which will undoubtedly open new ways for future communication in a new reality, hence called "new normal."

We are pleased to have received a significant number of high-quality scientific work to be presented in our meeting. In addition to the abstracts, we also have publications referring to the lectures initially planned for 2020, a "tasting," therefore, for our XXXV annual meeting in 2021.

I would like to thank our scientific directors Fabíola Freitas de Paula Lopes and Rogério Fonseca Guimarães Peres, as well as all members of the SBTE board, who worked as a real TEAM. They organized an excellent program with renowned speakers, enabling the discussion of essential issues related to embryo technology, ranging from embryo production, fertility, and reproductive efficiency strategies, aiming to improve herds and agriculture in general.

I would also like to thank our speakers who kindly accepted such a challenge to present and discuss their data in this new virtual environment, share their time and knowledge, and contribute to the success of our meeting.

We acknowledge our partner companies, particularly from SBTE condominium, for the prompt and great contribution that enabled this year’s high-quality meeting. Also, we thank our funding agencies CNPq, CAPES, and FAPESP.

I would like to thank all SBTE board members, whose cooperation, dedication, proactivity, and, most of all, devotion to SBTE, made this meeting possible.

Finally, my sincere and special thanks to all SBTE members, for supporting our Society. You are the reason we congregate annually!
